Adelin Gasana

Adelin Gasana was born in Rwanda. At one and a half years old Gasana moved with his immediate family to the United States. Living in Chicago for seven years his family then moved to south Florida where they currently reside. Adelin Gasana graduated from McArthur High School in Hollywood, Florida as an honor student and was also captain of the school's basketball team. Gasana was born oldest of identical triplets. Recently, Adelin Gasana graduated from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida as a dual major in telecommunication/film and philosophy with Magna Cum Laude Baccalaureate Honors. He began his documentary expeditions in his freshmen year in college and has continued until his graduation.

He has solely produced, edited, directed, written, and in some of the films narrated his documentaries. Gasana aspires to be an activist, public speaker, social commentator, non-fiction author, and professional documentary filmmaker. Every fourteen of his documentaries that he has completed Gasana simply grabbed his digital camera and filmed and edited all his works privately on his own. As a relentless advocate of facts and ideas with tenacity in getting his point across, Adelin Gasana stands for activism, debate, discourse, and revolutionary change. His next professional films include topics on the Cuban American population of south Florida, the U.S. prison industrial complex, and anarchism.

Gasana is a passionate lover of the film genre of documentary where he thanks Frontline, Errol Morris, the History Channel, Ken Burns, the Discovery Channel, Michael Moore, docudrama, PBS, A&E, YouTube, HBO, and Robert Greenwald for enriching his enthusiasm and life ambition. He hopes to meet activists Dick Gregory and Noam Chomsky in the near future. Opinionated, out-spoken, and cerebral Adelin Gasana loves to read, play sports, and converse if he isn't behind or in front of the camera. Adelin Gasana excels at the game of chess and finds in his free time swimming, yoga, and basketball for exercise and meditation. He also finds many of his inspiration in music, theatre, films, and literature. He wants to live by the west African saying that "I am We."
